What it looks like

Dribbling » Dribbling tricks & flicks

How?

“There are several tricks and flicks you can try whilst dribbling the ball. One is the stop-start move, which requires skill and patience to learn but can be very useful. Step on the ball with the sole of one foot, and then kick the ball forward with the other foot. The aim is to do this as one movement without actually stopping. If executed convincingly, the defender will try to stop and she will be caught off balance.”

Why?

Tricks and flicks are good for getting past defenders, creating space and… well, just showing off really.
