What it looks like

Footie tricks » Maradona 360 Spin

How?

“Invented by the footballing legend Maradona, the 360 spin is used for getting past opponents. While dribbling with the ball close to your body, turn to shield the ball as you reach an opponent face-to-face. Bring your furthest shoulder towards the opponent and in the same movement, put your foot on the ball and delicately bring it around with you. Leave the opponent trailing as you turn around her body.”

Why?

“Also known as the Zidane Roulette, the 360 spin is a way of dribbling past an opponent. It is useful when your opposition is closing in and you don’t have the space or time to pass. It’s also a good way of impressing the opposition as it looks fantastic!”
